Dr. Mark Borsheim is a highly respected family physician with over three decades of experience providing compassionate, comprehensive care to families in both Canada and the United States. He founded Hayden Lake Family Physicians in 1993, where he has proudly served the North Idaho community with a focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and patient-centered care.

Originally from Saskatchewan, Dr. Borsheim earned his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Genetics from the University of Alberta, graduating with First Class Standing. He went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine with Honors at the University of Saskatchewan, where he was recognized as a Top 4 Student Scholar for three out of four years and received Gold Medals in both Genetics and Immunology. Following medical school, he completed his Family Medicine Residency at University Hospital in Saskatoon, achieving Board Certification in Family Medicine.

Before establishing his Idaho practice, Dr. Borsheim owned and practiced at Forest Grove Family Physicians in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where he also performed obstetrics, endoscopy (upper and lower), and exercise stress testing.
