Specialized physical therapy techniques
Axis Spine Center in North Idaho offers advanced, leading-edge treatments for a variety of conditions, including:
NAIMT Level IV manual therapy (certified)
Our therapists are certified by the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIMT). We help reduce pain and improve mobility through precise hands-on manipulations and mobilizations.
Cupping (certified)
This technique uses suction cups to improve blood flow, ease muscle tension, and promote healing.
Dry needling (certified)
A minimally invasive therapy, dry needling can help alleviate many types of pain, including migraines. Dry needling involves using tiny, sterile needles to apply pressure to specific trigger points.
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
Using specialized, handheld tools, physical therapists can break down scar tissue and promote healing. IASTM is especially beneficial in treating ITB syndrome and plantar fasciitis.
Kinesiotaping
Often used to treat sports injuries, kinesiotaping involves taping injured muscles and joints to help reduce inflammation and promote recovery.
McKenzie and Mulligan techniques
These evidence-based movement and positioning strategies help treat injuries and soreness in musculoskeletal tissues.
Spinal traction
A type of decompression therapy, spinal traction stretches the spine and relieves pressure on spinal discs and nerves. It’s beneficial for treating herniated discs and sciatica.
Theragun soft tissue work
During Theragun therapy, your physical therapist will use a handheld device that delivers rapid pulses to specific muscle tissues, relieving tension and soreness.
Treadmill analysis
Sometimes, pain can be caused by irregularities in how you walk or run. Our team is skilled at performing treadmill analyses to find the root cause of your pain and help you resolve it for good.
