Will insurance cover well-child visits?

Most insurance plans cover well-child visits to a pediatric practice. Plus, Northwest Pediatrics is contracted with most major insurance providers, so you may be covered if your child needs care for an illness or an injury. Always check with your insurance provider to be sure.

Physicals

Protecting your child’s health and wellbeing starts with regular physical exams. During an exam, our providers will assess your child’s growth and development, review their medical records, and discuss any concerns. We’ll also offer practical tips you can use right away to help your kids thrive.

Wellness checks

When can I start my infant on solid foods? Is my child experiencing a growth spurt? What can I expect in this developmental stage for my child? These are the types of questions we will address during a well-child visit or wellness check. Well visits help us track your child’s growth and development, address your concerns, and offer helpful suggestions about your child’s nutrition, sleep, or behavior.

Immunizations

Is my child up to date on their immunizations? Northwest Pediatrics can help you find the answer. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics’ immunization schedule to protect your child from preventable illnesses. Our team will also maintain a complete childhood vaccine record, so parents and kids always stay up to date.

Sports physicals

Whether your child is signing up for Little League for the first time or your teen is trying out for the cheerleading squad, it’s important to make sure they’re medically fit to compete. Sports physicals evaluate your child’s readiness for athletics and fulfill school requirements for the upcoming academic season. A parent or legal guardian must be present for a school sports physical.

Behavioral evaluation and treatment

A child’s mental health is as important as their physical health. If your child experiences signs of depression, anxiety, or other behavioral health conditions, we can help. Our providers work with parents, teachers, and children to develop personalized treatment plans. We also care for kids and teens with conditions like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder.

Treatment of illnesses

As kids’ immune systems develop, they’re prone to get minor illnesses. Northwest Pediatrics diagnoses, treats, and guides children and parents through many childhood illnesses, including ear infections, strep throat, stomach viruses, and colds and flu.

Treatment of minor injuries

Bumps, bruises, and falls are a normal part of growing up. The good news is that children tend to recover faster from minor injuries. If your child suffers a cut or scrape, minor burn, sprain, strain, or minor fracture or dislocation, count on our caring team to treat their injury and guide them back to health.
