Sarah’s medical career began when she became a nurse in Illinois and then worked in California and Wyoming. She has served as a flight nurse for Wyoming Life Flight, an emergency room nurse and an ICU nurse. To achieve her goal of being a Nurse Practitioner, she obtained a Master of Nursing degree from Walden University, specializing in Adult Gerontology/Acute Care, she also has her Post Master’s Certificate from Maryville University specializing in the pediatric population in primary care. She has been working in orthopedics for the last 4 years, specializinginspinecare. Sheenjoystailoringtreatmentplansforthose suffering with spine ailments, this includes functional movement and strength training. She enjoys assisting Dr. Yakel in the OR and seeing people do amazing after surgery! Sarah and her husband of 11 years have two boys age 11 and 8. They love spending time getting to explore Coeur d’ Alene by wake surfing or being outside. She is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys eating well and staying healthy.
