Dr. Stackow earned a BS in pre professional studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1984, graduating cum laude. He then completed his medical education at New York University medical school, obtaining his degree in 1988. Following this, he completed his surgical residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City, graduating in 1993. Dr. Stackow is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years, Dr. Stackow has been a prominent practitioner of medicine in North Idaho. For the majority of the past 3 decades, he specialized in managing trauma and surgical diseases of the abdomen, breast, and hernias. More recently, he has taken on the role of a surgical hospitalist, currently serving as the manager of the hospitalist service at Northwest Specialty Hospital.

Outside of his medical profession, Dr. Stackow cherishes time with his three adult children, Tessa, Madeline, and Tucker, and enjoys engaging in various outdoor activities in North Idaho, including wake surfing, camping, golf, and skiing.
