DOT exams
Our qualified medical examiner provides physical exams for truck, bus, delivery (Uber, DoorDash) and taxi drivers.
Earache
We diagnose and treat ear infections and other serious issues, and can refer you to an ENT specialist nearby if needed.
Ear wax removal
Our team is skilled at gently removing impacted ear wax or other foreign objects.
Eye infections
We’ll diagnose the cause of your eye infection and help you find the most appropriate treatment. We can also refer you to an ophthalmologist if needed.
Female infections
Our women’s health family medicine providers care for urinary tract infections, yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis and sexually-transmitted infections.
Flu symptoms
You can receive a flu test at Northwest Family Medicine and get results right in the office. We can also administer a flu shot when requested.
Hemorrhoids
Our experts can help you reduce inflammation and pain from hemorrhoids using a variety of techniques and approaches.
Immunizations
We provide a full range of childhood and adult vaccines, including flu, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), varicella (chickenpox), pneumococcal, Hepatitis B and HPV vaccines.
Lab testing
To keep you well, we’ll order blood tests and check your key metrics, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, heart rate and thyroid function.

Medication management is an important part of managing health conditions successfully. We’ll help you keep track of your prescription meds and provide refills if needed.
Minor strains and sprains
Our team will perform a thorough examination to assess the severity of any injury, provide braces or splints as needed, and give you tips for a fast recovery.
Minor procedures
Northwest Family Medicine offers many in-office procedures, including injections for pain, suturing, splinter or tick removal, earwax removal, cyst and wart removal, and minor skin procedures.
Pap and breast exams
Our women’s health family medicine providers will perform a Pap test or breast exam to rule out cervical and breast cancers. We can also refer you to our Breast Imaging Center in Post Falls, ID.
Rashes and skin infections
We’ll assess the appearance, location and severity of any rash or skin infection and give you tips to care for them at home. We can also offer referrals to a dermatologist as needed.
Sinus infections
Is it a sinus infection or seasonal allergies? The team at Northwest Family Medicine can help you find an answer so you can breathe easier.
Sore throat
Our family medicine providers can provide medication and at-home remedies to soothe sore throats. We also can run rapid strep tests to rule out infection.
Sports physical
We perform sports-specific exams for athletes of all ages, including sports physicals before spring, winter and fall sports seasons that meet school requirements.
Sexually transmitted infection testing
Count on us to provide doctor’s orders for blood tests and other exams for conditions like chlamydia, gonorrhea, HIV, or syphilis confidentially and with the utmost privacy.
Upper respiratory illness
Our team at Northwest Family Medicine can find the root cause of your respiratory condition, whether it’s a cold, flu, sinusitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, croup or pneumonia.
Urinary tract infection
We perform urine testing to identify urinary tract infections. We can also prescribe antibiotics and other therapies to treat the symptoms.
Wart treatment
You’ll find a range of treatments for warts and other skin conditions, including salicylic acid, liquid nitrogen and wart extraction procedures.
Well child visits

Sydney Disselkamp, FNP-C
Family Medicine
Sydney Disselkamp is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Northwest Family Medicine in Post Falls, Idaho.
Sydney received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Franciscan University, in Steubenville, Ohio and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She has extensive nursing experience in emergency services, critical care, and family medicine.
Sydney is excited to incorporate her passion for holistic health and maximizing quality of life into her practice for families. In treating patients across the lifespan, she digs deeper to identify the root cause of conditions and symptoms in light of the integrated whole of the person. She particularly enjoys treating chronic conditions in the adult population. She offers compassionate and competent primary care to patients of all ages with a focus on preventative health.
Originally from southeast Washington State, Sydney now calls Idaho home. She is a mother of a very active toddler and can usually be found exploring the great outdoors of the beautiful Inland Northwest, baking sourdough, or figure skating.

Whitney Hall, NP-C
Family Medicine
Whitney is an AANP certified nurse practitioner. Whitney graduated in 2016 from Gonzaga University with her Master’s degree, and she received her BSN from Lewis-Clark State College in 2009. Whitney was born and raised in Kellogg, ID. While attending college, she worked as a wildland firefighter for the State of Idaho and US Forest Service, traveling throughout the western US on large fire assignments serving on hand, engine and helicopter crews.
Whitney has a wide range of nursing experience, having worked in a wide range of specialties such as obstetrics, pediatrics, critical care, PACU and emergency care. A majority of Whitney’s experience was spent in critical access emergency rooms with a staff of one doctor, one nurse and one CNA.
Whitney’s approach to primary care is centered around the patient’s lifestyle and achievable goals. Whitney’s approach also includes educating patients about various treatment options to their ailments as well as empowering them to make the best decision for their health employing a holistic medical management model. She provides these services to all patients 2 (two) years and older in the local area.
In her free time, Whitney enjoys riding horses, playing recreational volleyball and gardening.

Scott Gibbs, PA-C

University of Idaho in 1984, and his PA certification from the University of Washington’s MEDEX program in 1996. Scott started his career as a Medical Technologist from Boise State University and working at St. Lukes Hospital in 1987. In 1996 he started his PA career at the Boise VAMC working in Renal/Internal Medicine. In 2000, he and his family moved to the Silver Valley where he has practiced Internal Medicine and Primary Care for 20 years. He also has experience in correctional medicine, military medicine, aviation medicine, industrial medicine, DOT medicine and urgent care. He worked for 8 years as Idaho’s only Aeromedical Physician Assistant for the Idaho Army National Guard from 1998 to 2006.
His wife has been working for Kootenai Health since 2005. His two daughters are pursuing careers as physicians, and his son is in the US Navy.

Katie Jarstad, MS, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant. Katie graduated with her Master of Science from Pacific University and received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Idaho. Katie began her career as a physician assistant in family medicine in 2005 and has an extensive background in urgent care medicine and industrial medicine.
Her career began in the Silver Valley, where she provided care to generations of families. While in the Silver Valley, she particularly enjoyed caring for families connected with underground mining, as she herself was raised in Elko, Nevada, with connections to mining and agriculture. She was awarded the National FFA Sheep Proficiency award while in college.
She likes her patients to feel they can comfortably communicate their concerns and ask any questions they may have. Her passion is caring for generations of families from birth to elderly. As a former cross country All-State runner and collegiate athletic trainer, she also enjoys working with student athletes and adolescent medicine.

She graduated from the University of South Florida with her Master’s degree in 2004 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Florida State University in 2000. She was born in south Florida and grew up in the Florida Keys. Her career in Nursing began with the opportunity to work in a variety of hospital settings including cardiac and orthopedic post surgical units. While completing her Master’s degree she worked as an emergency room nurse at her local community hospital.
She has enjoyed providing primary care to families since 2004. Her approach to primary care focuses on education, preventive care, management of chronic conditions and helping her patients reach their health goals.
Stephanie and her husband fell in love with North Idaho over 20 years ago and recently relocated realizing their dream of living and raising their family in the Inland Northwest. Prior to moving to Coeur d’ Alene, she and her family spent several years as cruising sailors, living aboard and sailing along the Eastern Seaboard and Caribbean. They enjoy all of the outdoor activities available here in the Inland Northwest including hiking, camping, skiing and snowboarding.
