Scott W. Gibbs is a board-certified Physician Assistant. He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Scott received his BS degree from the University of Idaho in 1984, and his PA certification from the University of Washington’s MEDEX program in 1996. Scott started his career as a Medical Technologist from Boise State University and working at St. Lukes Hospital in 1987. In 1996 he started his PA career at the Boise VAMC working in Renal/Internal Medicine. In 2000, he and his family moved to the Silver Valley where he has practiced Internal Medicine and Primary Care for 20 years. He also has experience in correctional medicine, military medicine, aviation medicine, industrial medicine, DOT medicine and urgent care. He worked for 8 years as Idaho’s only Aeromedical Physician Assistant for the Idaho Army National Guard from 1998 to 2006.
His wife has been working for Kootenai Health since 2005. His two daughters are pursuing careers as physicians, and his son is in the US Navy.
Scott enjoys everything outdoors, especially big game hunting, and competing in Ironman and Spartan competitions.
